Denver Museum of Nature and Science

We were going to hit up Winter Park to ski but the road conditions were very poor and we had to make a game time decision...It was either spend the day in a ditch or go and have fun in Denver. This is the B-plan we came up with:

We turned around just outside of Morrison (past Red Rocks), and stopped off at the Colorado Mills mall to change out of our ski gear. We searched the map for an educational outing in the area and decided on the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This was going to be my first time in a museum of science in years and id be a liar if I said I wasnt getting excited about it. We jumped out of the car and nearly pushed a group of tots out of the way to get into the ticket line. Well actually Kylee went to the museum ticket line and I went in the wrong one which ended up being the body worlds exibit. It was 9:30 by this time and we had 3 levels to search through and explore. We started with the insects, taking a look at the largest most colorful butterflies I've ever seen. I think they were from Chili. We should probably check out the Butterfly Pavilian some time. Next we boarded a space ship and headed out into space. We were in our own element, having more fun then the kids surrounding us were.
